Day 1, Monday March 25

6: 00 am           Depart Hartford
                        $5.00 stipend for lunch

1:00 pm            Arrive in Washington DC

1:30 pm            Smithsonian’s Air & Space Museum

3:30 pm            Check into Hotel
                       Best Western Mt. Vernon

5:30 pm            Dinner at Carmine’s of Washington-Garlic Bread, Mixed Green Salad, Chicken                                     Parmigiana, Rigatoni & Broccoli, Cannoli & unlimited soft drinks or iced tea

8:00 pm            Ghost Walking Tour- This tour offers unique, entertaining, and educational tours.                                     This tour offers a great way to learn the history and lore of the city. Some refer to                                     the tour as a "sneaky history lesson." Through the years we have successfully                                     hosted companies such as Microsoft, Dell, and Saturn, as well as hundreds of                                     school and church groups. We have also proudly entertained high profile                                                 audiences from many traveling shows including the entire Broadway cast of                                     "Peter Pan."

Day 2, Tuesday March 26

7:00 am            Hot deluxe breakfast at the hotel

8:15 am            Mount Vernon Estate

9:30 am            Through my eyes program at Mount Vernon - Step back in time as you tour                                     Washington’s Estate! In this new program, groups will follow a lively character                                     from Washington’s world as he or she goes about their daily activities, making                                     several stops along the way. Guests will learn firsthand about life on the estate                                     and what this reveals about George Washington and the 18th century.

            Lunch at Mount Vernon (vouchers included)

2:30 pm
            US Capitol Tour – This tour of the U.S. Capitol includes a brief orientation film                                    entitled “Out of Many, One,” which describes how we come together as a nation                                     to govern ourselves. The tour also includes stops at the Rotunda of the Capitol                                     and National Statuary Hall.
5:00 pm            Dinner at Phillips Flagship – Dinner Buffet includes soup and salad station, fresh                                     baked, steamed and fried seafood, Carving station, Iron skillet station, dessert                                       station and beverages.

6:30 pm
            Illuminated Night Tour – Guided tour of the monuments and memorials at night                                     when they are illuminated by spot lights and moonlight. Stops will be made at the                                     WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson, FDR, Iwo Jima and more. 

10:30 pm
            Back to the hotel for the evening

Day 3, Wednesday March 27

8:00 am            Hot deluxe breakfast at the hotel

            National ArchivesThis visit includes an 11-minute introductory film in the                                     McGowan Theater, the O'Brien temporary exhibit gallery, the Public Vaults                                     permanent exhibit gallery, the Charters of Freedom (home to the Declaration,                                     Constitution, and Bill of Rights), and the Boeing Learning Center.

12:00 pm
            Lunch at Union Station (vouchers included)

1:30 pm
            Guided Bus Tour of the Monuments and Memorials

2:30 pm
            Photo in front of the Capitol Building – Every person in the group will receive a                                     photo

7:00 pm
            Dinner at Medieval Times – This electrifying show features heroic knights on                                     spirited Andalusia horses displaying the astounding athletic feats and thrilling                                     swordplay that have become hallmarks of this unique entertainment experience.                                     Set in an 11th century style castle, the meal will be Focaccia Bread, Tomato                                     Bisque Soup, Roasted Chicken, Spare Rib, Pastry of the Castle and Beverages.

            Return to the hotel for the evening

Day 4 Thursday March 28

7:00 am            Hot deluxe breakfast at the hotel

8:30 am
            Check out of hotel

9:00 am
            National Zoo

12:00 pm
            Boxed lunches at the zoo

1:00 pm
            Depart Washington DC
                        $5.00 stipend for dinner

8:00 pm
            ETA in Hartford
